web 2.0-
A Web 2.0 site will allow users of the
site to interact and collaborate with each other in a social media dialogue
as creators of user-generated content in a virtual community. In
addition to websites where people are limited to the passive viewing of content.
Examples of Web 2.0 include social networking sites, blogs, wikis, video
sharing sites, hosted services and web applications, these would
be sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Youtube.
Blogs-
Blogs (short for web-log) could be anything
from a webpage for a school account for posting work onto, or even just your
thoughts on something which you then posted on the internet. Mostly blogs are
based on an particular subject and this way people can communicate using these
such as if somebody were to post a blog about cycling, users could comment on
the blog to get their view across and then this could start a debate on the
matter. As a result of this i believe blogs are a good way to communicate using
the internet.
Online Applications-
Online applications applications are things such
as PowerPoint, word or excel. Online applications have the functionality and
data on a server which is accessed over the internet so you may only need an
internet connection and a web browser to utilise them. they don't need anything
on your computer to download them such as they are fully hosted tools. changes
on these tools are easy to do and not very pricey.
Cloud Computing-
Cloud computing is the use of computing resources
(hardware and software) that are delivered as a service over a network (usually
the Internet). The name comes from the common use of a cloud-shaped symbol
as an abstraction for the complex infrastructure it contains in system
diagrams. Cloud computing entrusts remote services with a user's data, software
and computation. An example of this would be an App on your phone, such as
Facebook or Twitter, which you can use at anytime anywhere as long as you have
a connection to the internet.
Excellent descriptions with good examples given. M1 achieved.
